Vibration and How It may affect us
Hey, sorry for the “iffy” nature of the subject line for this article. I am still connecting the dots…
Everything vibrates, and finally, everything we see, touch, hear, say and perceive (physically and mentally) is vibration. Examples: The color red, the chair you are sitting on, the thought you are having right now — all are finally nothing more than vibrations (at different frequencies). Here is how Mr. Hans Rex of Harmonology paraphrases current scientific understanding of color: webpage (not active anymore)
Colour is understood as being a change in electron orbits of atoms from a higher energy state to a lower energy state. When this change occurs, the excess energy is released as a ‘photon’ (a quantum of energy) of a certain frequency….and that vibrating photon (the frequency) is seen by the eye as a colour.
So, coming at this topic from another angle, when you pray or desire something, you are sending out vibrations, which may or may not be similar to your own current vibration.
Each of us is a composite of many vibrations — each develops a kind of a “vibratory signature,” that makes that entity unique. Now, using the LOA from Abraham-Hicks, which says that “like attracts like,” our vibratory signature attracts things, events, people and places akin to it (I believe we have to be very careful with this).
So, when we start desiring things outside of the immediate domain of our signature, it feels hard and hopeless, if not impossible. BUT, here is the crux of my point, YOU CAN (in time) shift your vibrations by consistently offering the new required vibrations.
In other words, when you continue to offer thoughts (about the new things you want), eventually, you TIP the vibration in your favor. And then, LOA brings on an avalanche of the desired.
Is this not the same as the contents of the “phalashruthi” in numerous stotras in Hindu theology, or prayer from any religion, which says that if you recite a stotra with “bhakti/devotion” for “X” days/months, your wish will be fulfilled?
It is no different. A stotra recited with “bhakti/devotion” engenders “belief,” which only strengthens that specific vibration, and when you are at it for some time, you accumulate enough of it to manifest your desire. e.g., gAyathri japa is supposed to come to fruition (siddhi) after 100,000 repetitions. See this: Japa
So, the next time you pray for something, and you do so via reciting a stothra/japa, remember to really “believe” in it and do it consistently. Sooner than later, your wish WILL come true.
Most important thing is (acc. to Greg Braden, see him on Youtube): Engender a feeling of your desire already having come to fruition. As Greg paraphrases the Indian/Buddhist practice: The Feeling IS the prayer!” Whoa!
A stothra is a means to please (invoke the blessings of) the stotra’s deity for fulfilling your desire. It matters that you select a stothra for or about a god who is associated with the things you want. The Supreme gives all. But, if only, in it, we believe.
Note: Pardon the very rough outline; this article requires a lot more fine-tuning and analysis.
