...sign of our times...
Upon being handed a journal as a gift, a nine year-old asks his mom what it was. The mom says that it was a notebook to record his thoughts and feelings, every day. The kid replies, "You mean, it is a blog...on paper." Reader's Digest, Oct 2008 issueGoogle Drive 15GB Confusion
With the recent blog entry, the Google Drive folks have announced a pony show, which if you watch (before Sep 26th, 2013) will allocate 10GB of extra Google Drive storage for users who use Google’s QuickOffice app.
But, don’t waste your time on it (I did!). They are automatically allocating 15GB to all Google accounts, at least, that is what happened to all of my accounts. Simply make sure you login/activate your Google Drive soon.
There is a caveat however: This extra 10GB of storage is supposed to be for only 2 years.
Maybe, they had a change of heart! They probably imagined the millions of upset users when they found out that the extra storage was only given to a few users.
Either way, I cannot complain too much. 15GB is plenty for me for now. Thanks Googol!
